Welcome to our family tradition. After World War I, my grandfather, Domenico Di Somma opened a small bakery in Pozzuoli, a beautiful, picturesque seaside village on the Bay of Napoli. Domenico named the bakery Rosa Rosa after his beautiful wife Rosa who he called affectionately Rosa Rosa.. Their love story is spoken about in Pozzuoli to this day.

Domenico worked hard for his family with passion and determination, to create something for his son, my father, Gennaro. Eventually the bakery went to my father who would later hand it over to my older brother Domenico, named after our grandfather. Today, Rosa Rosa bakery continues the family tradition of making the finest breads, pastries and pizzas in Pozzuli. My brother tends his ovens with the same love and care that my grandfather began and my father nurtured.

My father offers to you the Rosa Rosa legacy of fine food here in America, made with love and care as a way of honoring our family history. With my wife Maria at my side, we have taken our passion for food and our strong family traditions to a new level with the Ros Rosa restaurant. This we do as my father and grandfather did before us, for our family, Gennaro our son, his brothers Angelo and Andrea and their sisters Carmela and Rosa.

Grazie e bon apetitto

Giovanni Di Somma
